Gusseted bags

A gusset is a folded expansion pleat that lets a flat bag open into a volume. Side gussets expand a bag's depth — the classic form for box liners and bulk-container liners; bottom gussets create a standing base for boxy or stacked contents.

The workhorse application is the box/carton liner: a side-gusseted LDPE bag opening to the carton's footprint, protecting contents from moisture and dust. Specification is a geometry exercise: face width, gusset depth and length must map to the container's internal dimensions, with gauge (30–100 µm) chosen for load and sharpness of contents. Food-contact liners ship with a DoC; recycled content is common in industrial liners. Classified HS 3923.21. State the box's internal dimensions when enquiring and the bag size calculates itself.
