PET Bottle Bales

We buy baled post-consumer PET bottles: clear/light-blue bales for the premium hot-wash market and mixed-colour bales — feeding Türkiye's large bottle-to-bottle and fibre capacity.

Clear/light-blueMixed colourB3011

Türkiye runs some of Europe's largest PET hot-wash and bottle-to-bottle lines, and they run on baled bottles. We buy clear/light-blue and mixed-colour PET bales from MRFs, waste companies and deposit-return operators across the UK, with label and cap tolerances written into the acceptance spec. Bales ship as B3011 green-list material on a full Annex VII trail to consignees whose licence and quota we verify before contract. With UK DRS collection scaling up, clean bottle streams are growing — we contract forward against that growth.

Frequently asked questions

What is the clear/light-blue premium about?
Clear and light-blue bottles make clear flake, which feeds sheet and bottle-to-bottle — the highest-value outlets. Green and amber bottles are limited to fibre and coloured applications, so a mixed bale is priced to its weakest fraction. If your sortation can hold a clear/light-blue stream at 95%+, the premium is worth the belt time.
Labels and caps — what is tolerated?
Standard bales carry labels and caps; wash lines remove both. What the spec limits is full-sleeve bottles (they defeat optical sorters and are capped at a stated percentage) and non-PET containers. PVC bottles are the poison — even a fraction of a percent damages flake quality — and they head the prohibited list.
Do you buy DRS or trays as well?
Deposit-return bottle streams are welcome — they are the cleanest post-consumer PET available and price accordingly. PET trays are a different technical stream (lower IV, laminates) and are not accepted in bottle bales; we buy tray bales only by separate agreement with consignees running tray-capable lines.
How is the export compliant given the scrutiny on plastic exports?
PET bottle bales meet B3011 as sorted single-polymer material, and we operate the full framework: EA registration, Annex VII on every load, consignee licence and quota verified pre-contract, photographic loading records and three-year retention. The paperwork travels with your material — our Annex VII guide shows exactly who signs what.
