Die-cut handle bag

The die-cut bag replaces external handles with an oval punched through the bag body — the clean-lined carrier of fashion retail, exhibitions and takeaway. Because the punch interrupts the film, load capacity depends on gauge and on reinforcement: a folded hem above the punch, or a patch (see patch-handle bag) for heavier duty.

Typically LDPE or MDPE at 40–70 µm for a quality feel, printed flexo up to six colours; the large flat faces make it effectively a carried advertisement. Specification points: dimensions, gauge, hem or patch reinforcement, print, finish (gloss/matt), recycled content. The UK single-use charge applies at retail, pushing many buyers to heavier reusable versions. Classified HS 3923.21.
