HIPS sheet

High-impact polystyrene sheet is the print and packaging workhorse of the styrenics: an even matt-or-gloss surface that takes print superbly, deep-draws without tearing, and cuts cleanly. Applications: point-of-sale display, vacuum-formed signage letters, dairy packaging (pots and lids), garment and stationery components.

Specification points: thickness (0.3–3 mm typical), width, colour (white is standard; colours matched to RAL), surface finish, and food-contact status — dairy-grade HIPS ships with a Declaration of Compliance and is virgin-based, since recycled content is not generally permitted in food-contact styrenics. Classified HS 3920.30. For display work, HIPS competes with PVC foam board and PET; it wins on print quality and formability per cost.
