HDPE Bottle Bales

We buy baled HDPE bottles across the UK: natural milk bottle bales — the flagship UK grade — and mixed-colour bottle bales, plus drum and crate regrind.

Natural (milk)Mixed colourB3011

The UK dairy stream produces the best natural HDPE bales in the world: a single-product, single-colour bottle collected at national scale. That is why natural milk bottle bales command a premium in every market, including Türkiye, where they become rHDPE for pipe, bottles and sacks. We buy natural and mixed-colour bales from MRFs, waste companies and dairies, with caps-on tolerance stated in the acceptance spec rather than argued after delivery. Every export moves as B3011 with a full Annex VII trail to a licence- and quota-verified consignee.

Compliance & documentation

Waste / product classification
Green-list waste under B3011: sorted single-polymer bottles for recycling, shipped on Annex VII. Regrind may ship as product where end-of-waste criteria are met — stated per contract.
Certification chain
EA registered waste carrier/broker/dealer (upper tier); consignee licence and quota verified before contract.
Documentation supplied
  • Annex VII form signed by all parties, retained 3 years
  • Contract with the licensed Turkish consignee
  • Waste transfer note at UK collection
  • Photographic loading report per container
Türkiye import notes
Sorted bottle bales are accepted; mixed plastics are banned. We schedule shipments against the consignee's remaining quota.

Frequently asked questions

Why do natural milk bottle bales earn a premium?
Because natural (unpigmented) HDPE can be recoloured into anything, while coloured input can only make darker colours. The UK dairy stream is uniquely deep and consistent — one bottle design, national collection — so yield loss at the recycler is minimal. Turkish buyers pay for that certainty, and we pass it back in the price. Keep natural separate from mixed at the baler and the difference lands in your account.
Caps on or caps off?
Caps on is standard and stated in our acceptance spec — modern recyclers separate PP/LDPE caps in the float tank and sell the fraction. What moves the price is drained bottles: residual milk adds weight you will not be paid for and risks a wet-load rejection. Rinsed is not required; drained and dry-stored is.
Do you take drum and crate regrind?
Yes, by agreement: single-polymer HDPE regrind from drums, crates or pipe offcuts, with a declared source and a sample bag ahead of contract. Clean post-industrial regrind can ship as product where end-of-waste criteria are met, which simplifies the paperwork — we confirm classification per deal.
What contamination kills a bale?
Oil and chemical bottles in a milk bale, food residue, PVC bottles, and rain-soaked bales are the classic rejections. Our acceptance spec lists them explicitly; the prohibited list is short and there are no surprises. Marginal bales are discussed with photographs before collection, not disputed after.
