Other Grades — PS, PVC, ABS, Mixed Rigids
Enquiry-led purchasing of PS, PVC, ABS and mixed rigid streams. We are honest about this category: acceptance depends on Turkish consignee licences and current quota, and we say no when the compliant answer is no.
Not every plastic stream has a straightforward compliant export route to Türkiye. Polystyrene, PVC, ABS and mixed rigids sit in that category: real value exists, but it depends on which consignees hold licences for the material, their remaining quota, and whether the stream can be sorted to single-polymer discipline. So this page makes no blanket promises. Send photos and tonnage; we check the material against the consignees we have verified this quarter and give you a straight answer — a price, a sorting suggestion that unlocks a price, or a clear no with the reason. Mixed plastics cannot be exported to Türkiye, and anyone quoting you for unsorted mixed loads is quoting for trouble.
Technical specification
| Streams | PS, HIPS, EPS by agreement; rigid PVC; ABS; WEEE-derived by declaration | |
|---|---|---|
| Sorting | Single polymer required for export | |
| Origin | Declared per lot | |
| Photos | Required for every enquiry |
Compliance & documentation
- Waste / product classification
- Single-polymer sorted streams may qualify as B3011 green-list; mixed plastics do not and are banned from Turkish import. WEEE-derived plastics need additional origin documentation and consignee capability. Classification is confirmed per enquiry — never assumed.
- Certification chain
- EA registered waste carrier/broker/dealer (upper tier).
- Documentation supplied
- Pre-contract consignee licence and quota check
- Annex VII where a compliant route exists
- Origin and stream declaration
- Photographic loading report
- Türkiye import notes
- Acceptance is consignee-specific: licence scope and quota headroom decide. We verify both before quoting, which is why our answer is sometimes 'not this quarter'.

PS / HIPS
Sorted styrenics · Baled or regrind
Sorted PS and HIPS from industrial sources; EPS only compacted, by agreement.
Packaging & load
| Format | Bales / big-bags |
|---|
Not accepted
- Food-soiled PS
- Loose EPS
- Mixed styrenic/other loads
Rigid PVC
Profile / pipe · Baled or regrind
Window profile, pipe and fitting scrap; cable and flexible PVC are separate declared streams.
Packaging & load
| Format | Bales / big-bags |
|---|
Not accepted
- Flexible PVC mixed in undeclared
- Cable with copper
ABS
Appliance / automotive · Baled or regrind
Sorted ABS from appliance and automotive dismantling; WEEE-derived only with the documentation file.
Packaging & load
| Format | Bales / big-bags |
|---|
Not accepted
- Undocumented WEEE fractions
- PC/ABS blends undeclared
Applications & end markets
Where compliant routes exist, these streams feed:
- PS/HIPS → recycled styrenic compounds
- Rigid PVC → profile and pipe compounds
- ABS → appliance and automotive compounds
- Sorted rigids → polymer-specific regrind lines
Quality & inspection
- 01
Photo review against this quarter's verified consignee list.
- 02
Straight answer: price, sorting path to a price, or no with a reason.
