Mixed rigid plastics
"Mixed rigids" is the catch-all for unsorted hard plastics from civic amenity sites, MRF residuals and bulky-waste dismantling: a jumble of PP, HDPE, ABS, PS and PVC items in one stream. It is the grade with the widest gap between what sellers hope and what the rules allow.
The compliance reality is blunt: Türkiye bans mixed plastic imports, and B3011 green-list treatment requires essentially single-polymer, sorted material. Mixed rigids therefore have no compliant direct export route in this corridor — their value is unlocked only by sorting into polymer streams (manual, density or NIR), after which each stream trades under its own grade. Domestic outlets for genuinely mixed material exist but price accordingly. Any trader quoting confidently for unsorted mixed rigids to Türkiye is quoting for somebody's enforcement case. Classified HS 3915.90 as waste.
