LLDPE (linear low-density PE)

LLDPE is the linear cousin of LDPE: higher tensile strength and puncture resistance at thin gauges, which is why virtually all stretch/pallet wrap is LLDPE. As scrap it is one of the cleanest post-commercial streams available — clear, single-polymer, generated in volume at every distribution centre.

The trade splits machine film (off automated wrappers: long, clean, consistent webs) from hand film (more labels, tears and mixed rolls), with machine film earning the premium. Acceptance specs limit labels/tape, exclude cord strapping and black film, and require dry storage. Scrap classifies under HS 3915.10 and ships green-list as B3011. End market: rLLDPE pellet returning as new stretch film and general film blends — one of the genuinely circular loops in polyethylene.
