Big-bag / FIBC scrap

HS 3915.90 / 6305.32B3011jumbo bagbulk bagwoven PP bag

FIBCs — flexible intermediate bulk containers, "big-bags" or "jumbo bags" — are woven polypropylene sacks carrying 500–2,000 kg of powders and granules across every bulk industry. Their scrap is one of the great single-polymer streams: nearly pure woven PP, generated wherever bulk materials are consumed.

The trade buys them baled, cut or whole, at different prices; the recurring value-killer is the hidden PE liner, which must be removed or declared. Bags with hazardous-product residue need a cleaning certificate or are excluded. Used one-trip bags in sound condition may be worth more for reuse (HS 6305.32 as articles) than as scrap — a question worth asking before the baler. As scrap: HS 3915.90, green-list B3011 when sorted; end market is raffia tape and recycled FIBC production, much of it in Türkiye.
