B3011Basel plastic entrygreen list plastics

B3011 is the Basel Convention entry, effective since 2021, that defines which plastic waste may move internationally under the lighter green-list procedure instead of full prior-consent notification. Its conditions are strict: the waste must be destined for recycling, consist almost exclusively of one polymer (or meet the entry's narrow provisions for certain mixtures), be sorted, and be almost free from contamination.

Everything in the plastic scrap trade flows from those words. Single-polymer discipline in baling, contamination tolerances in acceptance specs, the ban on mixed-plastics exports to destinations like Türkiye — all are B3011 made operational. Material that fails the entry needs notified-procedure consent or simply cannot ship. When our grade sheets say "B3011", they are stating the legal basis on which the container moves.
