UK-headquartered chemical recycling specialist Plastic Energy has transferred its stake in the TEPEAR advanced recycling project in Tarragona, Spain, to its joint-venture partner, the energy major TotalEnergies. Plastic Energy stated that the decision allows the company to focus on its core technology and existing operational assets. TotalEnergies will now assume sole ownership of the facility, which is designed to convert mixed plastic waste into high-quality feedstock for food-grade polymers.
