German waste management provider GreenDot and film manufacturer Duo Plast AG have been recognized at the German Packaging Award 2026 for developing a stretch film that incorporates post-consumer recyclate (PCR) derived from household packaging waste.

The joint initiative addresses one of the most technically demanding challenges in flexible plastic recycling: incorporating low-density polyethylene (LDPE) recovered from municipal waste streams into high-performance industrial stretch films.
